Hello and Welcome to my site.

My name is Nicky and I live in South Staffordshire. I breed and show Black Himalayan and Crested Himalayan Cavies.

As a child the only pets I kept were gerbils and in recent years I have kept and bred gerbils. Now I have two boys who are loved and fussed by my daughter.

It was taking a litter of baby gerbils to a local pet shop, about 9 years ago, that I saw my first guinea pig, a beautiful 8 month Black Himalayan Boar who needed an owner. Choccy came home with me. I didn't like to see him alone and so the number of Cavies grew.

I started visiting shows in 2004 and membership to the National Himalayan Cavy Club and a visit to a breeder got me started. With a subscription to Cavies, I took the plunge and began showing.

I am a member of the Staffordshire Cavy Club, National Cavy Club, Crested Cavy Club and the National Himalayan Cavy Club. My stud is also registered with the British Cavy Council.
I am the Club Treasurer and Website Manager for the Birmingham Cavy Club.
I am on the Judging Panel for the National Himalayan Cavy Club and made my judging debut in October 2008, at Wyevern.

I have a small Stud, aiming for quality not quantity. I am also concentrating on breeding Crested Himalayans in Black and Chocolate .

My daughter shares my love of Guinea Pigs and so, for her we keep a mixture of breeds: PE White, Crested, Dalmation, Chinchilla, and I'm sure more additions in the future.
